The Power Play publication recently issued a correction after mistakenly referring to Patrick as retired. They have since amended their statement, accurately recognizing him as a "4x NHL Pro." Despite the confusion, it's clear that Patrick's presence on the ice has been missed since he last laced up for an NHL game on March 24, 2022.
As of June, the skilled center became an unrestricted free agent, and while he has yet to sign with a new NHL team, his career in professional hockey is far from over.
